Two Riverside Men Taking OZZFEST Organizers To Court
October 30, 2009Valley News reports: Two Riverside County men who contend poor security was to blame for injuries they suffered at the 2007 Ozzfest concert can take their case to trial next year, a Los Angeles judge said today.
Concertgoers Michael McClelland and Stephen Holloway filed their lawsuit in January 2008, maintaining the security guards hired to work at the concert were "too young and under-trained to act as security guards at a heavy metal concert."
Holloway says he entered the Glen Helen Pavilion in San Bernardino County about 1 p.m. A few hours later, according to the suit, he was attacked by a young man with a shaved head and tattoos who was soon joined by other assailants, who grabbed Holloway's hair from behind and kicked him in the face, breaking his jaw in several places.
